Race Crew Volunteers are just as crucial to the Wilne 10k as the runners. Without volunteers giving up their own time and helping out, there would be no Wilne 10k road race. The volunteers ensure that the road race is organised safely and effectively by directing the runners, clearing the road ahead for the runners, ensuring vehicles do not enter the runners course, distributing drinks to hydrate the runners during and after the race, distribute the post race items for the runners, assist any runner who may need attention, direct runners and spectators before, during and after the event to the desired locations, etc.
The Wilne 10k require the following volunteering roles:
|ROLE||QUANTITY||START TIME||FINISH TIME|
|Car Park Race Crew||5||07:30||12:00|
|Start Line Race Crew||8||07:30||12:00|
|10k Course Race Crew||20||07:30||12:00|
|Finish Line Race Crew||8||07:30||12:00|
|Water Station Race Crew||12||07:30||12:00|
|Race Village Race Crew||7||07:30||12:00|
We are able to provide all volunteers with:
1. Drinks whilst volunteering.
2. Snacks whilst volunteering.
3. A certificate of voluntary hours (if requested).
4. A post race t-shirt (subject to availability).
5. Potentially other items such as vouchers and gifts that we may be able to source.
If you feel you have the competence to be a volunteer team leader, please email us with a brief description of what leadership experiences you have had previously.
